Please read these Terms of Service carefully before utilizing the Refyn application. By accessing or using Refyn, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Medical Disclaimer.
Refyn is a habit tracker and scientific literature index. We do not provide clinical diagnosis or medical prescriptions.
We make no promises of bone remodeling, radical facial altering, or specific aesthetic timelines.
You agree to exercise within safe limits and cease immediately upon joint, muscular, or dermatological discomfort.
1. Eligibility & Age Restrictions
By accessing Refyn, you warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. You further warrant that you are at least 18 years of age if accessing any photographic or biometric estimation tooling. If you are under the required age, you must discontinue use immediately.
2. Nature of Service: Educational Tool, Not Medical Care
Refyn is designed as a personal habit organizer and evidence synthesizer. Content published across Refyn—including evidence tiers (Clinical, Plausible, Anecdotal), video critiques, anatomical targets, and AI Coach responses:
- Does not constitute the practice of medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, or dermatology.
- Does not establish a doctor-patient relationship.
- Is not intended to replace consultation, evaluation, or treatment by a licensed physician or specialist.
3. No Guarantees of Physical or Anatomical Remodeling
Social media discourse frequently inflates the efficacy of non-invasive facial exercises. You acknowledge and accept that:
- Craniofacial Skeletal Limits: In post-pubertal adults, craniofacial suture fusion significantly restricts skeletal remodeling through muscular forces alone. We make zero claim that tongue posture or chewing devices will alter adult bone structure.
- Individual Biological Variance: Genetic factors, baseline tendon insertion anatomy, skin elasticity, and systemic hormonal profiles dictate individual physiological adaptations.
- No Mandatory Timelines: Refyn rejects marketing tropes claiming visible structural changes within 14 or 30 days.
4. Prohibited Uses & System Integrity
You agree not to:
- Attempt to scrape, extract, or mirror Refyn's curated exercise library or scientific synthesis using automated bots or headless browsers without explicit written consent.
- Circumvent or tamper with rate limits, authentication endpoints, or security headers.
- Use the AI Coach surface to generate harmful, harassing, or sexually explicit content, or to probe for unsafe medical exploitation.
- Upload malicious code, corrupted images, or payloads engineered to exploit serverless infrastructure.
5. Intellectual Property
All application software, user interface design systems, proprietary evidence categorization methodologies, curated video takeaways, and analytical articles are the sole intellectual property of Refyn Systems Inc. Peer-reviewed journal citations remain the property of their respective academic publishers and authors.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, REFYN, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, NOR FOR ANY PHYSICAL INJURY, TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT DISORDER, DENTAL SHIFTING, MUSCULOSKELETAL STRAIN, OR CUTANEOUS IRRITATION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE HABIT TRACKER OR PROTOCOLS.
7. Termination
You may terminate your agreement with Refyn at any time by deleting your account. Refyn reserves the right to suspend or revoke access to users who violate these Terms, breach security boundaries, or attempt denial-of-service disruptions.
